THURSDAY JANUARY 10, FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP
The monthly book discussion group will be held at the Lucie Stern Community Center Fireside Room, 7:45 - 9:00 P.M. This month's book is
Gail Tsukiyama's The Samurai's Garden.
SATURDAY JANUARY 12, MONTHLY BOOK SALE
The Friends of the Palo Alto Public Library hold a monthly used book sale at the Terman Park Library, 661 Arastradero Rd., 11:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
Sale items cover the complete spectrum of topics - reference. foreign language, children's, technical, art and music, cooking, and mysteries. as well as records and CD's; many are recent titles. Some are withdrawn from the library, but most are private donations. All are sold at minimum prices and all proceeds support the library.
The Friends are looking for churches, schools or charitable organizations to receive book donations after their monthly sales. Please call 329-2516 if your group is interested.

Pre-registration is required so that there will be enough materials for all

Join Juliette McDonald for an afternoon of sing-along fun. Juliette is a
recording artist who plays guitar and keyboard. All ages are welcome at the
